Stay Somewhere Different

For a holiday in Scotland there is a wealth of options when it comes to choosing a place to stay. Don't just settle for something you could get anywhere else, stay somewhere unusual and really have an experience to remember.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a sailor you could take to the water on a boat, barge or cruise ship. See Scotland's rugged coastline and outer islands, or travel the waterways of the mainland. If you can't find your sea legs then stay in a lighthouse and enjoy the sights from the safety of dry land. Stay somewhere of historical interest and really soak up the atmosphere, there are a whole host of castles, country houses, towers, inns, cottages, and churches where you can really feel at one with the past.

If you like to travel in style, stay on a luxury train and see Scotland by rail, or if you want to get back to nature, experience the great outdoors from the comfort of your very own wigwam. If wigwams aren't quite your style, why not add some extra comfort and stay in a cottage tent. Alternatively, if you really want to get back to a simpler time, stay on a farm. Staying somewhere distinctly different is sure to inspire adults and children alike, and will make sure people of all ages have the trip of a lifetime that they will never forget.
